Redemption Song centers two bronze nude figures, a Black female and a Black male. Laura Facey modeled the figures from the knees up, standing in a cast-iron domed fountain and with water flowing at their knees. They face one another as they tip their heads upward and gaze at the sky to freedom/emancipation. The artist was inspired by Bob Marley iconic song "Redemption Song" on his Uprising album.
